Remix by Mads Björn - What If Life Doesn't Kill You?

The charismatic Mads Björn apparently has magic remix-hands. Some months ago he asked me if he could make a remix of my song What If Life Doesn't Kill You? and he turned it into a duet!! A strange feeling when you recorded all the vocals on your own and suddenly there are two of us. But I am thrilled to be a part of this post-duet. Take a listen.

Up Here (2nd single)

March 26 my debut album is out! It's a big thing, and it's called "The Broken, The Beggar, The Thief".

Happy New Year!

Soon it's 2012.. And what a year 2011 has been. It all began with my first EP "Thieves Like Us". On my own I released it in April this year. My photographer Alexandra Buhl shot a beautiful picture of me and I did the layout in OpenOffice (!), printed, folded and kissed every single cover with my red lipstick-lips. Luckily it got some great reviews in the Danish press and even more it paved the way to the Danish record label A:larm. They will release my debut album March 26, 2012. Thank you to those guys for liking my music!

The first single "All That Stuff" is still being airplayed on national radio. The second single will be out in February and is called "Up Here".



This year has also brought some great co-works. Among others I joined singer/songwriter/and-much-more Hannah Schneider's project, Window Sessions. In the beginning it was just an experiment but ended up with a full-length album and a fantastic concert at Jazzhouse. This is our 'folky' version of her song Raindrops.



You should also check out The Great Dictators and the song Happiness that I joined in a happy duet. The song is on their first EP (release January 16, 2012) which is mixed by Nikolai Nørlund.

One last highlight was making the video for my song "What If Life Doesn't Kill You?". Maria Bäck got the idea and both very exited we went to Lotte's - a home for old people here in Copenhagen. I'm not sure they understood my song but I had practised some songs they knew so in the breaks we all sang together :) They were served baileys and candy so we all had a great day. They were all proud of being 'moviestars' so on request we made 25 copies that now have been used as christmas presents!



I was so privileged to support Our Broken Garden on their tour this fall. And guess what - Our Broken Garden, Lydmor and I will join each other on a tour in April and May 2012. Check out the concert dates here. I can't wait to play the new songs for you!

1st single "All That Stuff"

Hi everyone,
- just a short update from me.

I recently signed with the Danish label A:larm. They work with artists such as Alcoholic Faith Mission, Tina Dickow and Trentemøller and I'm happy to be a part of the team now. They will release my debut album in March 2012 but already now we have released my 1st Single "All That Stuff". Please take a listen below and I hope you will enjoy it!
